[at-l] Re: Propane's attraction for bears

I saw my first ZIP stove in action at the Cooley Glen Shelter on the
Long Trail last month. Seemed pretty nifty. The folks cooking on it
said that they had a meal the night before that required 45 minutes
of simmering and it was not problem, just kept stuffing in more
twigs. Not a meal anyone would want to try with bottled fuels.

On the other hand, I'll always think of this couple as "the shower
people" because they also made a point of telling a couple of us
that they took showers "every day" that they were out on the trail,
any trail, and left their water bags hanging on the shelter overnight
as evidence while they tented nearby.
