[at-l] Tent Dilemma

I have a tent dilemma. I currently own a Mountain Hardware Skyview-3
tent, which in some respects I love and others I hate. The tent is huge
(roughly 60 square feet) which accommodates me, my wife, dog, and all of
our gear inside the tent (even when winter camping). It is also pretty
bombproof (it has performed like a champ in super high winds and heavy
rain/sleet/snow). My only gripe is that it is way too heavy, about 12
lbs with the footprint.

What I am looking for is a tent, which is light (4-7 lbs), large enough
for us and our gear (I am estimating 45-60 square feet), and weather
resistant (can take heavy rain/sleet/snow/winds) with no problems. I
realize that there is probably not a =93magic=94 tent which meets all of
these criteria, but I am sure I can improve from what I currently have.

I am hoping to get as many suggestions/comments as possible from the
list, hearing your personal experiences and thoughts on various tents
out there.

Thanks in Advance.

Andrew
