[at-l] inline filter question

A gravity filter consists of:
1) a reservoir for "dirty" water, suspended above every other part,
allowing gravity to lead the "dirty" water into
2) a tube leading from the "dirty" water, followed by
3) a filter thru whence the dirty water passes, logically leading to
4) a tube leading from the filter thru whence the dirty water passed
(hence it is "in-line"),into
5) a container that receives the filtered water, which might even
include your mouth.

A hydration reservoir differs only in part
1) A reservoir for "dirty" water, not necessarily employing height
above the other parts to create a hydraulic head to force "dirty" water
thru the filter. Commonly, the hiker provides the kinetic energy in the
form of "suction." Suction was made famous by a former presidential
candidate describing anticipated sound effects of employment
opportunities in a bordering nation famous for inadequate water
supplies.

Hence, with a Dromedary Bag, you have the beginnings of either a
gravity filter or a hydration bladder/hiker suction thingy.
