What's the difference between this and a boilermaker?  Seriously.

I drank a Guiness and some good Irish wiskey a the first shelter past the
Smokies NP about 10 years ago.  Courtesy of a couple on a business trip --
Actually they were in the area for business and by playing with their
airfare ticket, they had to lay-over 'til Monday.  So they went hiking and
left a lot of goodies with me which I shared with others.

Except for the Guiness and whiskey.  It was gone by the time anyone got to
the shelter.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

When I was at the Inn at the Long Trail a couple weeks ago, the
bartender poured me a combination Long Trail Ale (at the bottom of
the glass) and Guiness (on top).  Tasty either way, on top or on
bottom.
