One step

I believe that "is" the concept. In my usual dumb manner I found out what I
was supposed to do after I got there. Since I was "before season" there was
no one to check on me on the portion I was on. The Chic Chocs were closed due
to Caribou calving and probably well patrolled. Twisted Sister #2 had all her
permits for the Chic Chocs and The Matane Reserve. She said it appeared to be
relatively easy to change reservations along the way as there were many Park
Tourist Centers scattered throughout the Gaspe to help. It appears that these
people try to be real helpful but the language difference can be a little
frustrating.

She said she paid in advance and had a pack full of permits. Remember if you
pay by credit card a Canadian charge of $15.00 come back on the credit card
statement at about $10.00 US.

As I said my hike was not the same as a week on the AT.

Dick Anderson is still the best source and place to start for information.
