Arrived today at Crystal Lake in Gilmanton Iron Works.   I finished my last 
official day of work on Wed. June 19th.  After 35 years as a  high school 
mathematics teacher I am retired.  I'm  ready to do some serious hiking.

My wife and I own 5 cottages on the lake.  We rent out 4 of them and live in 
the fifth.  Saturday is our busiest day, because that is change over day when 
renters leave and arrive.  Sunday we entertain our renters, answer questions, 
help them figure out what they will do for a relaxing week at Crystal Lake.  
Therefore,  I usually do my hiking during the middle of the week.  I bet that 
is when Suz  B. has time to do some hiking, too.  So this is a rather public 
proposal for some mid week hiking.  I need to get my legs (espcially knees) 
into shape for my AT Thru Hike in 2003.  I've only been waiting for this 
since 1958.  Horay!!!!
