I don't think its that at all - I see it as that on this whole list, **only
10** people have the slightest interest in discussing advocacy issues.

If it makes others feel better to believe its because we are 'uncomfortable
with the logic of contrary views' or that we don't 'like to have our
long-held prejudices questioned', thats fine w/ me - believe whatever makes
you happy.  Reality is that its simply not the reason most people signed up
to AT-L.  Most of us took Ryans website at face value.

last  total  I  saw  was  10 -- and some of those I suspect don't really
want to
debate  environmental  issues relating to the trail. Based on past
discussions I
suspect  some  just  hope  a separate list will make it unnecessary to
listen to
those who make them uncomfortable with the logic of contrary views.
