     Although I doubt the claim, I have to admit this is doable and if he's 
telling the truth it aids his claim for being able to hack a 4 month hike.

    There was a section in Pennsylvania on my hike where I was shocked, upon 
checking my maps, that I did 4 miles in an hour. So it is possible...
