[at-l] Thurlo socks

"...They fit a lot better than Thorlow, they last at least 10 times longer than
Thorlow ...," says Greyowl.

I can't dispute others experience. But I've worn Thurlos exclusively since I
discovered them in 1993. Thurlo makes scores of varieties of socks. The light
weight versions wear out. The heavy variety designed for long distance
backpacking is remarkably sturdy. My four of five pairs of heavy Thurlos get all
mingled together in my sock drawer, so I can't tell which is old and which is
new. The other day I found one of the heavy versions with a hole in the heel.
I'm guessing it's one of the original two pairs I bought in May, 1993, which is
also the last time I've had a foot blister.
