I have an Osprey Impala. No vertical zippers so I can't vouch for them, but
the rest of the pack is very well constructed. I've got something like 800
miles on mine as a guess, one wear spot where a suspension unit rides, and
it looks like the spot is cosmetic and not a functional problem.
Besides the construction, I like the pack itself, it rides really well. I
can't claim to be easy on gear, tho I try not to abuse it, who knows what
happens when baggage handlers get their hands on it.
That said, it doesn't quite make the lightweight rule of 1 pound per 1000
cubic inches.
I was trying to chase down a Kelty Flight, mostly for expermental purposes,
but I missed the last one on E-Bay...
