As most of you know, I can only second that motion.  If you are still lucky 
enough to have your Mom alive, even if you don't get along, think about life 
without her.  Then do something about it.  Make peace, if it's possible.  
It's just like a thru - you might think it isn't the right time, but it might 
be the only time. Nobody guarantees us tomorrow.

And my dearest elf - be there for her, best as you can, and understand when 
even that doesn't make it any better.  Having someone there for you makes it 
easier to deal with in some ways, but not better.  Better is having your Mom 
back.  But you know that already.
