[at-l] Re: ALDHA AND AHS AND EARLS HIKE

they're all dead

it happened (or didn't) as a sobo in the summer of 1936 but wasn't reported until 1994 by the sole living member of the party*

He has since died and therefore no one with memory of the event can speak to it's veracity.

The reason **I** have for wanting to know is simply accuracy. I became curious, asked questions, was dodged so I became even more curious. Now I am simply acting out of a desire to know the truth and have the record be accurate.

*there were supposed to have been six scouts on the hike, the reporter being the youngest. He couldn't remember the names of three of them, so of the remaining three, he was the only living. The other two died before or during WWII.

Other troop members are still living, and do recall Mr. Gordon, but do not recall this hike or who might have gone on it.

Well, where are these scouts today? Who were they?

I have another question, but don't want to cause a stink: Why is it
important? Besides accurately portraying history, I mean. I'm curious to
  know...
