[at-l] White Mountains Hut Question

>Does anyone know if any snacks, candy or otherwise can be purchased at >the
>huts to augment the food you're carrying?

The huts all have chocolate bars and candy for sale. If I am not mistaken,
the profits from those sales go directly to the people who pack the stuff
in. So, you will be doing the hutmen and women a favor if you pig out on
that junk ;-). In any case, I think you can count on every hut having a
well stocked candy supply. They never seem to be out. Pinkam Notch (only)has
a walk up widow where you can order sandwiches and the like. It is a hotel,
really.

Any other questions, fire away. Every now and then I kind of like posting
something more useful than bombastic, and that's a strech I am fairly
familiar with. One big difference about that section is you have to plan
out your days with a bit mor forethought than elswhere. While there remain
plenty of places to pitch a tent, there are also plenty of spots where you
cant camp so more planning (ugh) is required.
