[at-l] fungus affecting dogs on AT

Hiking Springer to Unicoi Gap last week, both my canine hiking partners =
got some sort of fungus on their underside. It was gone by the time =
their vet appt. came around (2 days off the trail) though secondhand I =
heard a vet say there is some fungus on the AT affecting dogs. Anyone =
know anything about this? Want to resume at Unicoi next week with one of =
them and would like to prevent/minimize same affliction.=20
