This happened to me last February on a Scout hike (my first one as
Scoutmaster):

"Where are his keys?"

"Ummmm.... they are in his backpack.  He had them in his coat and he took it
off right before he collapsed."

"Where's his backpack?"

"It's still up on the trail along with ours".


As a result, everyone now knows where keys, etc ares.  We were already
carrying each others phone numbers and contacts.
