[at-l] First NOBO's in Maine

Today about a mile north of ME Rt 26 (Grafton Notch) I met 2 NOBO's who =
started their hike 11-01-01. They had spent the previous 2 nights =
waiting out the snow at Speck Pond Shelter. Damn for the life of me I =
can't recall their trail names... Ohto(?) and ????.... jeeeeeeeez who =
said aluminum cook pots have nothing to do with alzeheimers? Anyway, =
they are heading into Andover tomorrow for additional supplies. Stopping =
at Pine Ellis I believe. The snow had really slowed 'em down thru the =
Whites and Mahoosics.=20

Now for those who think about such things, are they this years first =
NOBO's or are they the last thru-hikers of 2001?  <VBG>
