As many of you know, Denise DeLisle was preparing to Thru Hike the AT this year.  She planned to be at Springer Mountain to begin her hike on April 13.  She was in the process of completing her plans to begin her journey.  She had dehydrated food, she had made a list of mail drops, she was gathering information from others who had hiked, she was working on "tuckerizing" her gear.

Unfortunately an adventure of a greater magnitude was in the plans for Denise - Journey '02 - and she passed away very suddenly on March 27. 

She was a valued and is a missed member of the Women Hiker egroup and plans have been made to purchase and design at least 2 bricks for the Damascus, VA, Friendship Walk.  (http://www.damascus.org)
