[at-l] Maybe not a new idea

A good idea, but there are copyright issues that would have to be resolved Also the two books come out at approximately the same. Last year I was a section editor for the Companion. It is wonderful book, but I would never take it on the trail. Last year Ram Bunnie called me for a shuttle for her two friends. While talking with her she pulled out her Data Book and in the Margins were all sorts of notation, some I am sure from the Companion, some from her first Thru and some from her current hike. I have started doing that with an old version of the companion that I own. It is much smaller and a lot less weight than the companion.
