JFYI, the list works.  I have decided not to discuss this decision with him
at all, simply inform him and let him decide.  I have compiled all of
everyone's responses into a Word document that I intend to give him.  So far
we have generated 20 pages of information for him to review.  He won't have
to deal with my bias (as OB has made me aware of), and will have the benefit
of far more experience that I could provide.

I feel much better.
