[at-l] Re: RoksnRoots -whatever- My One and Only Post! :)

I'm kinda ambivalent on a bunch of this stuff; don't like some of what
everyone has said in these latest "flame wars." What I would like to
see, is for everyone involved to cut down a bit on posts to the list
that attempt to answer the unanwerable, convince the unconvincable,
right the unrightable wrong, etc. . . . What if we all made a commitment
to let some "wrong" statements go "unrighted," some personal attacks
unrebuffed, and some fires unextinguished - while at the same time not
giving up totally our sense of ongoing dialogue? That way we all could
maintain our need [and right] to speak, but give more bandwidth to
others. As the list grows, our responsibilities to think before we send
a "reply to all" likewise grows. Seems to me we need to retain some of
our roots [pardon the pun], but also be able to "branch out," with
appropriate pruning skills! :)
