The county tried several times to close Dad's well; especially when he had
to relocate the well. They claimed their water (which ran through a
treatment plant) was healthier. Even though his well was at least 200 feet
deep and most of that through solid granite: He was tapping the main aquifer
in the region. Dad took a sample to Clemson University. Clemson declared
his water was better than the county's treated water. We always had the
best tasting water and never got sick. I even drank "crick" water in the
area and never got sick. I wouldn't do it now: A turkey farm is nearby the
old home place.

Ditto. My PUR sits around much more than I'd like and it's never made me
sick.
I did get crypto from city water though! How ironic is that?
