Fwd: [at-l] Self Doubt

Our September hike was scenario 2...
Get soaked & just walk.
My smartwools were always wet, my feet got minor blisters,
my gortex kept the water in, my pack was too heavy, my back went out.... I really had fun...
:)

But now I have a silnylon tarp, an esbit stove & I shaved about 15 pounds off the 40 I was carrying in September).
Trying to weigh in at about 25 pounds, in a large daypack,
including food & water... We'll see how it goes.

Two scenarios:
1) Awwwww man, "$#$#@# it, do I ever hate walking in the rain, I'll probably
catch a cold, I have no more dry socks, why am I doing this anyway" - you
know, the story we all tell ourselves.
The internal - ha! - "reality". The perception/interpretation.

Or,

2) just walking. A sigh perhaps, and then - on with it! Facing reality
(unquote-marked), recognizing the necessity. No resistance. No internal
weight to carry.
Freedom!
