That's perfect!  I can see it now:
A woman comes walking up the trail with a dark cloud all around her...
as she approaches, the cloud materializes into a dozen large dragonflies attached to strings which are in turn attached to the woman at various points around her body.  Captive Dragon flies!
Perhaps you could arrange a bullfrog to sit on top of your pack and a frame (connected to your pack?) where you could house a nice big orb weaving spider?  It could serve double duty by breaking webs in front of you and catching the pests that the bullfrog missed.  The only question is; what do you do with all of your pets when you camp each night?
