[at-l] winter clothing list--starting early March
I thought i would throw my three cents worth in here.
I usually cary two shirts anb two shorts. Two shorts,
so I can wear one during the day while hiking, then when I
get into camp I change into the pair for the next day. While
wearing those, I wash the ones I just wore and usually they are dry
for the following days exchange. I find, being able to wash one pair
a night and wearing them the day after, I reduce rashes caused from
bacteria buildup on the crotch. With shirts, if it is raining, I have a
dry one
to wear the next day.
Also, in regards to gloves, has anyone tried using latex dishwashing or
disposable
gloves used in restaurants as a liner during rain/sleet/snow in the winter
for keeping
hands dry while the glove gets wet. When I was doing contract archaeolgy in
LA,
we often worked in the rain. Usually, we wore a glove on our screening
hand. We
found this was a good way to keep the hand dry, while the glove became cold.
