[at-l] Wet Foot of down bags

"...I am still somewhat puzzled, since the foot of the bag can get rather wet
even when the inside walls of the tent are dry." reports Rick.

The human body, regardless of whether visible sweat is present, is always
releasing water vapor. When that vapor hits the cold wall of a tent, it
condenses into water. It's the same phenomenon that causes the water vapor in a
room to condense into water when it hits an icy water glass.

The phenomenon seems more obvious with down, because down absorbs water more
readily than synthetic insulations. The same moisture is present. It just is
less noticeable to the touch.
