[at-l] My Vote

I vote an emphatic NO. This seems like a ploy to "quarantine" an unpopular
voice here on AT-L. It seems undemocratic. I don't want to hear just the
people I agree with. I'm not likely to learn much that way.

Trail advocacy belongs on AT-L. There's no good reason to have it anywhere
else. Trail advocacy is what made the AT possible in the first place.
It's what got it built, it's what maintains it and it is what keeps it
growing. Why would you want to segregate voices advocating for its care
and expansion from a hiking list? It's a hiking trail. As Yates wrote,
"How can you separate the dancer from the dance?"

If I can listen to Jim Owen's bombastic twaddle, my little rattlesnake, I
can stand to hear what RoksnRoots has to say. Both are informative in
entirely different ways.
