Uhhh... Duhhh... Why didn't I think of that? Oh yes, I've been filling
out government forms.
Seriously, Thanks to all of you for all the comments. I love munching on
bread or adding bread stuff to thicken up soups, etc. And walking I like
crackers. So I thought about drying out bread. For some reason (blame it
on the IRS) I thought it would be harder. Gee, all I have to do is let it
go stale. And I left a whole wall of bread at church on Easter -- we feed
the homeless and a bread company gave us a whole lot of bread (speciality
items) to give out. After the dinner some of us took a lot home. And if I
had thought of it, I'd have a lot of croutons for my salads, stale bread for
scalloped tomatoes, trail mix, etc. Hmmm... Croutons ought to be light
weight....

I think that's called 'croutons', but at some stage I think it's called
'toast'.
