In honor of receiving Earl's new book today I'll quote from that. There
were several possible quotes I spotted in paging through quickly but
because the following related to a recent discussion on the list regarding
alternatives to the white blazes I chose this one:
"The trail is much rougher now than it was in '48. Those responsible say
they are providing challenges. But is it a challenge when you have no choice?"
Now who could possibly disagree with Earl?
