[at-l] older hiker supplies

I did not know what to call this thread.

The thread about contacts made me think about some of the additional =
stuff that you may need to carry when you are a little older.

MA wore contacts during our 5 month hike in 1999. She cleaned her hands =
with Purell before taking them out or putting them back in.  She had the =
same pair for the entire trip. She carried a replacement pair and also a =
pair of glasses to wear at the shelters and campsites. Of course she =
also had to have contact solution with her.

Some of the things that we and/or other hikers our age carried:=20

hormone pills
thyroid pills
eye drops for glaucoma
denture cleaners
pepto or similar items for finicky stomachs
calcium pills
imodium
contacts
contact solutiions
reading glasses
Ibuprofen

I realize that some younger hikers also required some of these items but =
I think that in general the older thru hikers were more likely to need =
these items.
