Others have come to different conclusions. YMMV. I just watch carefully.

I did a lot of this research beore I started the vaccine, but decided to
go with it based on my own history. I have a really high tolerance for
discomfort, (assuming that is going to come in handy on the trail! *G*), and
half the time I am sick, I don't even know it. After the initial flu-like
symptoms, if left untreated, my understanding is that Lyme goes into the
central nervous system where it can cause all kinds of ugly neurological
stuff in the future. In all honesty, I am afraid that I will miss the first
wave of Lyme! I know I still have a chance to catch it, but I am a lot less
likely now. And, luckily, I haven't had any adverse reaction to the shots
yet! Thanks for the info! Anna
