Well, as we age, many/most of us lose a significant amount of
"accommodation" that allows our eyes to do the "zoom" thing. That is
the sum total of presbyopia. The idea of correcting the eyes in
differing focal points is interesting, but I'd rather have pretty good
distance vision and carry reading glasses or a small magnifier.
