[at-l] Contact lens on the Trail

i have taken many lengthy trips wearing my contact lenses and have had
no problems. i just finished the dirtiest trip in my life in southern
chile and found that using purell before putting in my lenses (and
taking them out) was fine. as long as you give the stuff enough time to
evaporate, you'll be fine. i woudl suggest the kind that have a two week
life span--that way you can put in a clean new pair frequently and won't
have to worry about losing them, tearing them, etc. i always carry extra
with me two and usually don't exceed the two week wearing time that they
are supposed to have. glasses just don't work well for me.
