[at-l] Sense of Wilderness and Town Stops

"TJ,
Could you please elaborate"

Sure Cleek, lemme cut and paste what I just sent to someone off list:
 >The Park Director, Buzz Caverly, specifically banned cell phones after a
female hiker climbed up to the Tableland and phoned out for a helicopter evaq
because she was too tired to climb back down. She didn't get it, Rangers
climbed up and fed and watered her and she walked back down. The ban wasn't
about 'wilderness', it was about an unprepared hiker trying to get a chopper
ride off the hill. The Rangers themselves all have two ways on their persons,
in their vehicles, and at every Station inside the Park. There's even a few
crank-ups cached in the survival boxes around the Mountain. The 'forever
wild' caveat is of noble intent, but it's not the end-all uber alles rule in
the Park. <

elaborately yours,
TJ
