If you have someone drive it every so often, it'll be OK for six months.
There are a couple of ways to handle this.  You could sell the car and buy
another when you return.  I did that fairly regularly.  Once when I went on
extended wandering, I sold my car, went wandering, then when I was ready to
come home, I bought a car where I was and drove home.

If you want to keep the car, six months isn't that long.  If you can't get
anyone to drive it for you, I'd probably just put it on blocks so the tires
don't sit in the same spot and cover it.  Fill the tank before you go to
prevent condensation.
