[at-l] Gabriel

I see on AOL that Gabriel is still "surviving." So, I think I'll watch
"Survivor" for the first time tonight.

I remember when Gabriel first signed up to be a journalist on ATML in 1998.
At first he seemed normal, regular, you know. Then suddenly he was claiming
to do or announcing that he would be doing things that required that he be
some sort of superman. I saw ego out of control. Now, after reading his
biographical data, I understand. He really is someone who can manage to do
it all. More power to him.

Anyway, I wouldn't touch his journal, which is too bad. Apparently no one
has a copy of it. My impression of it was that it would be a long account of
daily 50 to 75-milers handled with aplomb. Along the way there would also be
some thrilling rescues by you know who.

It would probably make some great reading now.

Perhaps it is only right that someone named "Gabriel" would toot his own
horn, something that I have never minded as long as there was something valid
to toot about.

You know where I'll be tonight.
