Someone asked where Erwin is.  Erwin is in extreme Northeast Tennessee, very 
close to the North Carolina border.  It's a popular spot for thru-hikers as 
the town center is just a few miles from the Trail, and the townspeople are 
friendly, with easy hitchiking.  Also, the town is full of hiker-oriented 
facilities, of which Miss Janet's House, the new hiker hostel, looks to be a 
very worthy new addition!
