I've used turbans, and in their various configurations they
are very useful in warm and cold weather.

Little hint, though...  If you get stopped while hiking down
south in a turban by a bunch of guys who move slow and ask
you questions like, "Whatcha doin' on my road, boy?" and
"Why you wearin' that turban?  You some kinda foreigner?",
you best answer is, "It's not a turban, it's a milfeh."

On second thought, just tell them that you were attacked by
a bear and it's a bandage...
