Since this captures the essence of the AT-L welcome to new posters... shouldn't there be someplace where an explanation of the various pieces of the puzzle that contribute to the history and etymology of the word

"smashmalleauz" (it's newest plural form)?


Just wonderin' whether the new folks are too shy to ask (see'in as dey is new) or figure it is ignorable all together.
