There was a story in the Roanoke paper last summer about a cat found
stray on the Trail who walked right along with the hikers who adopted it
for quite a few hundred miles. I think the cat was on a solo SOBO and
just became tired of nothing but mice everynight, so he hooked up with
some tuna-packers. I remember reading that they all moved to NYC after
