What a question!

It really isn't hard to find the FS42 on maps, either getting there
from the west via Ellijay, GA or from the east via Dahlonega/Amicolola
Falls or further east via Suches. The Ellijay side is only about 90
minutes from me in Atlanta.

You can start NOBO from Amicolola State Park and the access trail below
the water falls. You could get a ride on FS 42 to the Springer parking
lot. If the problem is how to get to either spot, then you might want
to check with friends, shuttles or other hikers to split cost of
shuttle/taxi. 

Hummingbird and Jon on the list are doing shuttles this spring, but
there are many options. Have you decided when you are starting?
