The "chick flick" that Orangebug was referring to was a film called
"Like Water for Chocolate".  It was about a Mexican young man who wanted
to marry a girl, but had to settle for marrying her sister instead
because the family tradition was that the daughter he wanted to marry
had to remain single to take care of her widowed mother.  The only way
he could continue to "see" the girl he wanted was to marry her sister.
Substituting one for the other was like trading and getting water
instead of chocolate.
