[at-l] a hiking related topic



I have used that style stove for some time.

1)  Make a pot stand of some sort that holds your pot about 1 1/2 inches
above the stove.  There are lots of designs.  Check
http://wings.interfree.it/ for some options / ideas / links.

2)  Make a wind screen.  Check above site.

3)  Experiment.  The easiest stand and wind screen (IMHO) is the type Don
Johnston's High Performance Alcohol Stove shows.  See
