[at-l] camera

Lee,

Interesting, and now that you mention it, I seem to remember something out
on one of the digital camera review sites - www.dpreview.com, I think - that
had a table about the lithium batteries and how they performed. Gotta
start digging now. Also, I have just shot off an email to Canon to see if
they have a chart showing their lithium battery life in regards to lower
temps.

Thanks.

Battery life in the cold affects standard batteries much more so than it
does lithium. The S100 uses a rechargeable lithium battery that is good for
about seventy shots with flash and lcd screen turned on or over two hundred
without them. Cold will degrade these numbers only slightly.

On the other hand, a typical modern 35mm with standard batteries will last
about 24 shots in the cold. (If that, you should here my flashlight story.)
