[at-l] Permethrin application question

I am glad that works for you, but the point about more dilute solutions
of DEET is to avoid that oily chemical touch and taste to your skin. It
is very hard to make 100% DEET apply thinly enough, and sweat tends to
remove it more quickly.

I'd suggest that for just one weekend, bring a small bottle of
combination DEET and sunscreen. There are several brands, but OFF is
pretty uniformly available. I think you will find you take care of 2
problems, use less chemical, have a bit less nasty tasting sweat
working into your eyes and mouth, and fewer items to keep in your
inventory. I think you will spend less money also.
