Re[2]: [at-l] Poison Ivy war story

When I served in the Army during the Korean War I got a rash on my face, which
the Army doctors claimed was poison ivy. I never believed them, since I hadn't
been anywhere near the stuff. But they began injecting me with experimental
allergy shots. The rash spread all over my face, neck and shoulders and kept me
in the hospital for two weeks. Finally, another doctor ordered the shots stopped
and the rash began clearing up the next day.

Prior to this episode, I had never been allergic to poison ivy. I've been
 allergic ever since.
