You know what they say on the trail, though, "Once you get to the top of
Clingman's Dome (being the highest point on the trail)   it is all
downhill from there", and it doesn't even matter which direction you are
going.

Of course "they" also say, "If you're heading north, once you get to the
Whites you have done 90% of the trail, but only 10% of the work."
