I've been wondering, for a few years now, if and when I'm going
to get into serious sh*t for using my 1990 trail maps.

Even back then I think it was $125 for the set (maps + books) --
I think the price is twice that now. Being a cheap bastard, I
haven't bothered to upgrade.

Oddly enough, the AT is one of those trails you don't even need
a map for. Just follow the %$*@^# blazes.

I understand that the shelter locations marked on my maps
are becoming unreliable. I always hike with a tent, so it's not
that big a worry.
