On my first through-hike, the only water treatment I did was to pour it
through my t-shirt or bandana if the h20 looked too chewy; the only
time I was ill on the AT was from overeating, but nowadays, given the
likely drought and the vast increase in Trail population, I suspect
that if I don't filter/purify, instead of ATRerunner, I may be known as
Tooloose Totrek...
