Fuzzy memories... but somewhere, probably the Gathering, I was talking to a
thru-hiker that had run into a engineer thru-hiker. Yeah, I think that's
the right term, way too much engineer <g>. He had a leave of absence to
hike, had his entire hike broken down into spreadsheets (we're talking way
beyond just what shelter he planned on camping at). They met in NH or
Maine, and the guy was within 15 minutes of his schedule, not just that
days schedule, but within 15 minutes of where he was supposed to be after
100 and some days on the trail....
