I've been a happy SD Clip FL for the past 10 years. It's been a great tent.
I've used it in all kinds of foul weather for 1 and 2 people with great
success. It is however awful heavy with some of the other options for solo
backpacking.
I learned about tarp tenting a long time ago with my Boy Scout backpacking
trips. It didn't make great sense then and it's beyond me now. To me
mosquitoes, gnats, wet/muddy ground, wind, stability, … all seem to be
reasons tarps are less trustworthy than tents.
So, with all that said, I use a WL Nomad now. It has been good.
Condensation is a continual challenge but overall it was a good purchase.
This is a 3 season tent. It does not do well in snow/harsh winter weather
at all. WL has a new model or two that seem to be good options as well.
The wanderlustgear.com site has a bigger guy modeling the size of tent so
you may get a better idea of how it would fit. As for setup, it is as easy
if not easier than a SD Clip tent. Neither of which you could crawl into to
setup?????
It took a long time to get my WL since they are all hand built by Kurt and
friends. It is made well and sold honestly.
I read an older post from someone saying “I’ve backpacked a long time, I
have 5 of everything now!” It’s unfortunate but true; one tent is not right
for all the conditions active year round backpackers face.
Good luck.
